Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Higher Diploma in Fire Technology or equivalent and BAC with HPCSA registration or
• Diploma in Fire Technology or equivalent and AEA with HPCSA registration
• Code C with PRDP
• Law enforcement course
• Fire investigation course
• Advanced fire prevention course
• Extensive experience in the field of Codes (Fire Safety)

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage, control and administer the code section
• Implement the financial management system
• Prepare and consolidate reports and documents that are submitted to the Senior District Manager
• Execute applicable statutory requirements and amendments
• Manage permits for flammable liquids and manage registration thereof
• Assess building plans
• Manage, consolidate and initiate code development
• Participate in the incident management system
