Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Higher Diploma in Fire Technology or equivalent and BAC with HPCSA registration or
- Diploma in Fire Technology or equivalent and AEA with HPCSA registration
- Code C with PRDP
- Law enforcement course
- Fire investigation course
- Advanced fire prevention course
- Extensive experience in the field of Codes (Fire Safety)
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage, control and administer the code section
- Implement the financial management system
- Prepare and consolidate reports and documents that are submitted to the Senior District Manager
- Execute applicable statutory requirements and amendments
- Manage permits for flammable liquids and manage registration thereof
- Assess building plans
- Manage, consolidate and initiate code development
- Participate in the incident management system
