Position:Senior Engineering Technician

Salary:R230 448 - R299 112 per annum (plus benefits)
Minimum Requirements:
  • N6/T3/S4/ NQF5 National Diploma (Heavy Current)
  • Valid driver's license - Code EB
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant municipal procedures, systems and infrastructure
Core Responsibilities:
  • Plan the maintenance of protection equipment
  • Ensure that all electrical equipment is tested to determine its suitability to be connected to the electrical network
  • Instruct the technicians/artisans to install , inspect, download and programe programmable electricity meters
  • Manage the maintenance of battery tripping units
  • Order the installation and downloading of electricity power quality registers to comply with NRS048 requirement
  • Comply with safety regulations as required by the OHS Act
  • Perform administrative and general duties
  • Co-ordinate non-core related activities to ensure service
